1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDKs. This policy uses “cookies” to refer to all of these technologies.

2. How we use cookies

Trellis uses cookies on our marketing website (trellispathway.com) and inside the Trellis product to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the service, and understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product.

3. Categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary. Required to operate the site and product — for example, authentication tokens, session identifiers, CSRF protection, and load-balancing. These cannot be turned off.
  • Preferences. Remember your choices such as theme, time zone, and dismissed banners (including this cookie banner).
  • Analytics. Help us understand which pages are used and how the product performs, in aggregate. We do not use analytics cookies to identify individual patients or to handle PHI.
  • Security. Detect abuse, fraud, and suspicious sign-in activity.

Trellis does not use cookies for cross-site advertising or sell personal information for advertising purposes.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by service providers we use to run Trellis, such as our authentication, hosting, and error-monitoring vendors. These providers act as our processors and are bound by our data processing terms.

5. Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or alert you when a site tries to set one. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of Trellis from working, including signing in. You can also dismiss our cookie banner at any time; your choice is stored locally in your browser.

6. Do Not Track

Trellis does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no consistent industry standard exists. We minimize tracking by default as described above.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product or by email.
